There’s a large market for renters.
In the metro area, the median rent for a one-bedroom is $2,600, and for a two bedroom is $3,400.
When it comes to renters, there are a few factors that can affect the cost.
First, a rental market is dominated by young professionals.
Second, a large portion of renters are from low-income households.
A recent report from the American Housing Survey showed that one-third of renters in metro areas have income below the poverty line, compared to less than 5 percent of renters overall.
Third, there’s a shortage of apartments.
