Why is @hackernews going with this platform for live streaming platform?
This morning, I was contacted by a Twitter user that had just found out that @hackingnews was going to start streaming live events in the future.
The tweet stated that it was going “to stream all live events from the past year and a half of @hacks.”
I asked him if he had any specific details on how the streaming platform would work, but he had no specific information on the technology.
As he said, it would probably be a lot of effort to get that feature to work, as it would require lots of network access to a lot more data.
The company, however, was open to ideas on how to improve the technology, and they promised to respond to questions in the coming days.
As for the product itself, the live stream looks pretty promising, as you can see below.
I don’t think it will ever be able to compete with live streaming services like Twitch, but if you’re in the market for something that will help you stream your life, this could be the platform for you.
I’m going to keep digging into the technology behind @hackers live streaming.
If you have any thoughts on how this platform could help you out, let us know in the comments.
